Ramps are a hot commodity because they can have almost a 10 year germination and growth period before they can be eaten making them hard for farmers to grow and the foraging window for them is very short - like one month! Imagine not only finding the ramp patches but foraging for just four weeks. Our owner/founder Ryan Pierce actually foraged these ones himself! These natural delicacies grow from a bulb and sprout these beautiful leaves which have a scallion, garlic like flavor.
